01/03/2016: THIS SITE IS NOW ARCHIVED. THE NEW EVOLUTION OF THE SWARM CONCEPT, CALLED SWARM DYNAMICS CAN BE EXPLORED AT www.swarmdynamics.org
In 2015, we collaborated with PLACE TO B-COP21 DEVISING and CO-DIRECTING THE CREATIVE FACTORY DURING UN COP21 in Paris. During these 2 weeks we piloted a unique way of working, bringing together multi-disciplinary teams of ARTISTS, climate EXPERTS, poets, COMMUNICATIONS experts, actors, musicians and journalists to help CHANGE THE CLIMATE STORY. Many participants described it as ‘transformational’ for their climate work. You can see press coverage, testimonials, videos and the 18 CREATIVE CAMPAIGN ideas generated in the ‘COP21 AND BEYOND‘ section of this site.
We also worked with environmental NGOs to help jumpstart their creative thinking, and learned from our expert partners to uncover the common threads of system change. from this, we invite creatives to set to work illuminating a new progress narrative for popular appeal.

CREATIVE BRIEFS FOR UN COP21 AT PLACE TO B
Forever Swarm will be co-directing and helping design the Creative Factory with Place to B in Paris during the UN Conference on Climate Change this December. http://placetob-cop21paris.com/en/ The Creative Factory at Place to B aims to bring together a melting pot of climate change experts, media, campaigners, artists, film makers and poets to build new stories for climate change, and arrive at a fresh and more effective approach to climate communications.
We need artists in our network and beyond to respond to one or more of the 6 briefs/topical themes we will be running in the creative factory. You can find the BRIEFS in the calendar of daily topics in this Practical Guide to the Creative Factory at COP21: Guide to the Creative Factory
Works submitted will be curated or projected to inspire Factory participants, with a possibility of broadcast or publication by big media. We are only seeking work that can be submitted digitally at this point. Submissions accepted on a rolling basis emailed to email@example.com final deadline 20th November 2015.

The Swarm will operate in two stages.
First of all, we will tap into the most up to date incisive, expert and provocative thinking available, to devise communication briefs and creative project opportunities, tackling the most urgent issues and shaping asks and actions that will bring about meaningful change.
Then we will ask the creative talent of the Swarm to bring those narratives to life in the most compelling and dramatic ways possible, ranging across any platform or discipline, blending together and pulling apart traditional creative methods to generate new and compelling ideas.
We will provide support and advice, direction when requested, connections when relevant.
We will help put teams of talent together, fusing together the academic and scientific with the unpredictable and artistic, establishing the platform for artists to create fresh stories.
The Swarm is non-profit and non-hierarchical. Every idea will be given the opportunity to breathe and flourish.
